ElectroBraid® T-Post Cap Insulators - White

Safety is a major reason horse owners choose the ElectroBraid® Horse Fence System. Customers who use T-Posts when installing their ElectroBraid® fence can make their installation as safe as possible for their horses by using ElectroBraid® T-Post Cap Insulators to cover the sharp top edge of T-Posts.

  • Reduces risk of injury by protecting animals from the jagged top of T-Posts
  • Provides insulator for top strand of ElectroBraid® rope
  • Fits easily and securely on Wood Posts and 133, 125, and 101 size T-Posts
  • UV-protected to resist weathering, even under the harshest conditions
  • 10 White insulator caps per bag

Protect horses and livestock from injury

The jagged, sharp edges at the top of T-posts can be a danger to animals. They can cause unnecessary spearing and cutting injuries with associated suffering and expense of veterinary treatment. That’s why ElectroBraid® T-Post Cap Insulators are the perfect choice to protect horses, show cattle and livestock enclosed by permanent or temporary T-Post enclosures.

Dual purpose, easy installation

ElectroBraid® T-Post Cap Insulators not only cover the top of T-posts, they also provide an insulator that secures the top strand of your ElectroBraid® fence system. We designed ElectroBraid® T-Post Cap Insulators so you can install them simply and easily—without hardware! The Caps fit snugly and easily on wood posts and 133, 125, and 101 size T-Posts.

Unique latching design

ElectroBraid® T-Post Cap Insulators feature a latch that accommodates all ElectroBraid® and snaps securely, but allows the ElectroBraid® to float freely in all directions. And, like our T-Post Line Insulators, the caps can be used with not only Braid™, but also with all fence wire except poly tape. (Not for use with high tensile fencing).

Rugged and UV-protected

Durable, ElectroBraid® T-Post Cap Insulators are UV-protected to resist weathering, even under the harshest conditions. They feature excellent insulating characteristics and a large shield to prevent shorting.

Why does my fence need insulators?

Electrified fence must not come in contact with fence posts or gates because this can “short out” the fence. Insulators that do not conduct electricity are used to attach the electrified fence to posts, gates or trees.

How to Install T-Post Line Posts?

Layout all your posts and mark each one for the depth to drive the post and the location of each insulator. Using the first strand of Braid™ as a sight line, use a post pounder to set your T-Posts, and then attach T-post cap insulators and T-post insulators.

(IMPORTANT: be sure your T-Posts are correctly oriented. The flat side of the T-Post should be on the inside of the paddock so the Braid™ will be on the inside of the paddock when attached to the insulators.)

At what point during fencing installation do I install insulators?

After you have set all corner, end and gate posts, and you have correctly braced them, you are ready to fasten insulators to the posts. You will need to install insulators on all posts, including brace posts.

How many line post insulators do I need?

  1. Count the number of line posts and multiply by the number of strands. This is the number of Line Post Insulators you will need for Line Posts.
  2. Depending on the type of posts you plan to use for corner posts, brace posts and ends posts, you may need additional insulators of a different style. Choices include ElectroBraid® Roller Insulators and ElectroBraid®Heavy-Duty Line Post Insulators in addition to T-Post Insulators. Refer to your ElectroBraid® Instruction Manual for complete details.
