All About High Tensile Fencing

Electrified high tensile fencing is an excellent choice for a permanent perimeter fence.

A high tensile fence system requires many unique components. While not right for every type of animal or enclosure, a high tensile fence is affordable, attractive, easy to maintain and long lasting — from 25-50 years.

A:  High tensile fencing is much safer than barbed wire for animals, especially horses.  They will receive a shock from the electric fence instead of having sores and injuries associated with barbed wire fences.

A high tensile fence is also very cost-effective since it doesn't require nearly as many fence posts as a barbed wire fence does.  High tensile is strong enough to stop a spooked animal and, when electrified, will prevent the animal from testing or pushing the fence to get to the grass on the other side.

high tensile FAQs - crimping toolA:  Not usually. If you want it to function as a high tensile fence, the corners and some in-line posts need to be sturdier.

A high tensile fence system requires some unique components besides fence wire.  These components also include special installation and maintenance tools, certain insulators and long, durable posts.
