Review RatePoor refill design
Humming birds rarely use compared to other feeders in my yard. Screens tend to get dirty. To open you have to turn upside down, which means you have to dump a large amount of food to clean and/or refill.Response From Zareba®Patty : Consumer Relations Representative
We appreciate the time taken to provide this feedback and apologize for the experience.
As creatures of habit, birds can take some time to become accustomed to a new feeder in their environment. We recommend temporarily removing other feeders so that they can get used to the new one. It is best to clean and replace the nectar at least weekly, and more frequently during hotter weather. The bee guards should easily pop off the feeder for extra cleaning if needed.

Review RateHours of joy !!!!
I have 2 of these feeders. We can watch for hours. They are easy to clean and fill. The Hummingbirds love them....I bought one for my brother, he can't wait to use it!!! It was easy to order and a prompt delivery. I highly recommend perky pets!!!!!!
Review RateBee Guard is IneffectiveI bought this feeder for the bee guard. It has proven to be completely ineffective. Bees cover the feeders all day long. This feeder is in southern Nevada where a lot of migrating hummers pass by. The hummers are attracted to the feeder but the bees turn them off.Response From Zareba®Eric : Consumer Relations RepresentativeWe apologize for this unusual experience. If bees are taking over the feeder, we recommend taking it down for a few days until they move away from the area. Then replace the feeder in a slightly different location. If the problem persists, please contact our Consumer Relations Team at 1-855-PERKYPET (1-855-737-5973) with any additional questions.
Review RateEasy to cleanThe wide opening makes them easy to clean and the new bubble bee guards also keep the big birds out.
Review RateEasy to Fill and Clean! This is to replace a feeder that was hard to fill and clean - it is so much easier to work with! It is a perfect size as the nectar is used before it can become too old or moldy. I purchased a second one as a Christmas gift for my daughter and I know she will be as pleased with it as I am.
Review RatePinch-waist glass hummingbird feedersThis product is everything we were looking for.....it is not huge, like our other ones, it has the built in bee guards in each "flower", which we were looking for and each "flower" has its own perch bar and it is easy to clean. Also it comes with a packet of nectar. We received them (we bought 3) prior to the estimated delivery date, they were packed very well.....nothing was broken or out of place. You can't beat the price .....we couldn't be happier!!
Review RateLeaked since day 1I purchased this at a local store as an anniversary present from my wife. It replaced a much cheaper, $3 version from Big Lots that lasted 4+ years.
Within two weeks of installing this and placing liquid inside, I noticed discoloration on the deck boards below. As time passed, I watched the feeder and noticed it leaks a very slow drip from one of the flowers. After about a week, the entire feeder is empty.
I enjoy supporting the local hummingbird community and feel bad when one comes around looking for food only to find the feeder empty. If I had a choice to buy this feeder again, I would look elsewhere.Response From Zareba®Tara : Consumer Relations RepresentativePerky-Pet® is known for its long history of providing high-quality products. Review Ratepartswe had a few hummer feeders that have slowly broken apart, so we purchased enough spare parts to make two complete feeders
Review RateExcellent Size and designWe liked the 1st two because of the 8 OZ size (just right), the easy to fill wide mouth of the glass jar, and the anti-ant moat. We now have 6 in use and are adding 3 more in the spring. We place the feeders around the property in such a manner that a bird can't see another when feeding. This minimizes competition between birds. It's the best show on earth!
Review RateDrips - makes a mess.I bought this 2 weeks ago and it constantly drips. At first I thought it was just the sun heating it up but I moved it and it still dripped. When I bought this I thought "I won't have any trouble with a Perky-Pet feeder!" Now I just paid for an ant feeder! They found the drippings and have a new home. I'm hoping the ants will leave once they realise I'm not hanging this feeder again. Very disappointed. :(Response From Zareba®Patty : Consumer Relations RepresentativeThank you for the time taken to provide this feedback. We apologize for this experience.
You are correct that direct sunlight or high temperatures can cause a feeder to drip and leak. When that factor is removed, and when the bottle is tightly secured to the base, the feeder should not leak.
