Hello Dee,

If you find that the ants are not interested in the ant bait, it may be that the ants are not interested in sweet treats at the moment. We recommend adding a contact killer, like TERRO® Carpenter Ant & Termite Killer, to your ant control plan. For any questions feel free to contact our Customer Relations Team at 800-800-1819 x 458

Bad design— Liquid in weak container By Daddy

Container is terrible. Liquid form is not much better. Yes it killed ants but it was like honey spilled on my counters.

We are glad the product was effective and apologize for this experience! To clean the product, we recommend using warm water and soap. If the bait has hardened, placing a warm, wet cloth on top of it for approximately 20 minutes will soften the bait to make it easier to remove.

Harden Drops After One Day By LCA

I am dealing with little black ants crawling out of our wood floor from many parts of the room. So, I scatter pieces of cardboard around the room and place drops of liquid Terro. Indeed, I find within 30 minutes the ants feeding on the drops. But, the next day, the ants ignore the drops and climb over them. I noticed that the drops harden and the ants lose interest. So, my questions to Terro is: Are the harden drops useful anymore? Or, do I have to put new drops every day? Finally, I did try the Terro liquid bait traps. The ants enter but seem to drown in the traps so I don't know if the effect of ants going back to the colony is happening. The number of ants have slightly decreased after 4 days but not dramatically. I am losing faith.

To be effective, the bait must be in liquid form.  We recommend adding a drop or two to the bait each day.  This will help ensure that the liquid will remain fresh and the ants will be able to consume the bait.

We hope this information is helpful.  Please feel free to contact our Consumer Relations Team at 800-800-1819 x 458 with any additional questions.
