ZAREBA® SYSTEMS LIMITED WARRANTY
Zareba (Red Snap’r, Blitzer and other energizers made by Woodstream warrants energizers with a mile rating under 20 miles for 12 months (a full year) from the date of purchase (or date or manufacture if proof of purchase is not provided) against defects in materials and workmanship, and from damage caused by lightning.
Energizers with a mile rating of 20 miles and over have a 24 month warranty (two years) total. Energizers with a mile rating of 50 miles or over have a 36 month warranty (three year) when registered on line at the time of purchase.
For any sized energizer, retain your receipt for proof of purchase or register your energizer on line at www.zarebasystems.com immediately after purchase. Also, please reference the web page for a list of Authorized Repair Centers and instructions on returning fence controllers for service.
Energizers which come equipped with the Storm Guard lightning protection module are warranted only when the Storm Guard is properly being used on the fencer.
TERMS APPLICABLE TO BOTH 30-DAY RETURN POLICY AND THE LIMITED WARRANTY
Neither the 30-day return policy nor the limited warranty applies to any defect caused by improper installation, misuse, product alterations, tampering, neglect, or any similar reason not related to product malfunctions or defects in the materials or workmanship of the product. The 30-Day return policy and the limited warranties are given only to the original purchaser of the product and not to any subsequent owners or to any other user or person when installed and used in accordance with the instructions found in the owner’s manual. No person is authorized to grant any warranty additional to or different from this written warranty.
To make a warranty claim, you must contact Woodstream Corp. at 800-800-1819 or www.zarebasystems.com regarding the defective product or parts during the warranty period or contact one of the Authorized Repair Centers listed on www.zarebasystems.com.
If you have not registered your energizer on line immediately after purchase, you may need to provide additional information such as, your name, mailing address, proof of your purchase date, and a description of the problem. If the defect is covered by the limited warranty, Woodstream Corp. or a repair station will repair or replace (at its option) the defective product or parts
NEITHER THE SELLER NOR THE MANUFACTURER SHALL HAVE ANY LIABILITY FOR ANY INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES RESULTING FROM OR CAUSED BY ANY DEFECT, FAILURE, OR MALFUNCTION OF ANY PRODUCT.
UPON EXPIRATION OF THE 30 DAY RETURN POLICY, NO WARRANTY OR GUARANTEE OTHER THAN THE LIMITED WARRANTY PROVIDED HEREIN IS MADE, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. We bought this to replace a similar product from our local feed store.
This does great at containing all our animals. We have goats, dogs and wild prey (primary use) , chickens & ducks (secondary use). Our goats stay contained as well as the dogs, they don't stick their noses through the fence any more and as for wild prey that tries to get in well THEY DON'T ANY MORE!! We ran a top and bottom wire along the containment fence for the wild life that liked to come over and kill our livestock and we've not had any issues with this for 5 months!! After loosing a set of baby goats this past spring and $400 worth of chickens and ducks we now have a new set and they are doing well because of this charger!! I also ran some around our home gardening area and the chickens have learned to stay out and we've not had any rabbits or deer come around eating up our crops!!
As for the dogs we ran a top wire along the fence line and they don't jump up on the fence any more stretching it out of shape.
I would highly recommend this to any one who keeps the fencing within the recommended area of 5 miles or under.
Once animals get used to the 'tingle' and believe me it's a good 'tingle' they learn to stay off of the fencing. We installed extra ground rods along the fence line to increase/keep the shock factor up to a good 'warning' jolt.

I have 2 horses & a pony. My "old" fence charger was way better. when I tested it, it would lite up ALL the lights. This charger will only light up 1 light and flash the next light. My "old" charger when it was broken or touching a pole popped and my horse's would NOT go near it. They feared my old charger. I only have maybe a mile of single strand fence. Very disappointed.

The Zareba® 5 Mile AC Solid State Charger has an average voltage output of 2,600 volts when tested no load. The voltage can drop to 2,000 volts or less with one wire running at a length of one mile. The recommend voltage output on the fence wire for horse containment is 2,000 – 3,000 volts. It would be suggested that you consider an upgrade to a more powerful charger for your application. The Zareba® EAC25M-Z would be a great fit to suit your needs. The charger is rated for 25 miles and it would provide you the power needed to contain your horses as well as the freedom to expand your fence if your needs should change.
