This portable, easy-to-use, battery operated fence charger is ideal for controlling livestock and other animals in remote locations or areas without access to AC power.
Our Zareba® 10 Mile Battery Operated Low Impedance Fence Charger has a 10 mile range and can be used in heavy weed conditions. It has 3 battery options: 4 D-cell flashlight batteries, and 6 volt, or 12 volt external batteries. 0.28 stored joules; 0.25 joule output at 400 ohms. Output voltage no load is 7000/Hi volts.
Other features include: built-in ground-rod strap, built-in fence wire strap, a 3-position switch (1, battery-saver mode; 2, maximum output; and off) and digital timing. It has been built to UL safety specifications. Battery not included.
Comes with a 1-yr warranty that includes damage caused by lightning.

ZAREBA® SYSTEMS LIMITED WARRANTY
Zareba (Red Snap’r, Blitzer and other energizers made by Woodstream warrants energizers with a mile rating under 20 miles for 12 months (a full year) from the date of purchase (or date or manufacture if proof of purchase is not provided) against defects in materials and workmanship, and from damage caused by lightning.
Energizers with a mile rating of 20 miles and over have a 24 month warranty (two years) total. Energizers with a mile rating of 50 miles or over have a 36 month warranty (three year) when registered on line at the time of purchase.
For any sized energizer, retain your receipt for proof of purchase or register your energizer on line at www.zarebasystems.com immediately after purchase. Also, please reference the web page for a list of Authorized Repair Centers and instructions on returning fence controllers for service.
Energizers which come equipped with the Storm Guard lightning protection module are warranted only when the Storm Guard is properly being used on the fencer.
TERMS APPLICABLE TO BOTH 30-DAY RETURN POLICY AND THE LIMITED WARRANTY
Neither the 30-day return policy nor the limited warranty applies to any defect caused by improper installation, misuse, product alterations, tampering, neglect, or any similar reason not related to product malfunctions or defects in the materials or workmanship of the product. The 30-Day return policy and the limited warranties are given only to the original purchaser of the product and not to any subsequent owners or to any other user or person when installed and used in accordance with the instructions found in the owner’s manual. No person is authorized to grant any warranty additional to or different from this written warranty.
To make a warranty claim, you must contact Woodstream Corp. at 800-800-1819 or www.zarebasystems.com regarding the defective product or parts during the warranty period or contact one of the Authorized Repair Centers listed on www.zarebasystems.com.
If you have not registered your energizer on line immediately after purchase, you may need to provide additional information such as, your name, mailing address, proof of your purchase date, and a description of the problem. If the defect is covered by the limited warranty, Woodstream Corp. or a repair station will repair or replace (at its option) the defective product or parts
NEITHER THE SELLER NOR THE MANUFACTURER SHALL HAVE ANY LIABILITY FOR ANY INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES RESULTING FROM OR CAUSED BY ANY DEFECT, FAILURE, OR MALFUNCTION OF ANY PRODUCT.
UPON EXPIRATION OF THE 30 DAY RETURN POLICY, NO WARRANTY OR GUARANTEE OTHER THAN THE LIMITED WARRANTY PROVIDED HEREIN IS MADE, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. I could not be happier. I bought for short time use 2 years ago when my solar charger went down and it has been rocking every since. I think it is foolproof but as you know fools can be so ingenious.

I used this charger for a temporary fence around a 3-acre frozen lake on my farm -- to keep horses off of it. I used 4 D-cell batteries, as I needed to get this in service ASAP.
This is a terrific battery charger for its purpose, and for those of us who are electrically-challenged. It mounts easily (no duct tape required, don't know what that was about!), and the off/on switch is very easy to find and use. Yes, it is under the housing, out of the way from the prying antics of wildlife and/or horses. VERY easy to turn it off / on / low -- this was not a problem for me.
This charger works exactly as advertised. Might have more JUICE with a 12-volt, but the D-cells worked great and my horses respect it. This allowed me to get an important safety barrier within a few hours and for less than a few hundred dollars, including the line posts. I highly recommend it for the intended purposes.
