Zareba® Circuit Board LIS3 and SP3
Replacement part for LIS3 and SP3.
A few things you should know when repairing a charger:
Most chargers can hold a charge long after they have been unplugged or disconnected from the battery. You can be shocked by an unplugged charger. The consumer assumes all risk when repairing or utilizing a charger that has been “repaired” or modified. In addition, once the charger has been opened all warranties are null and void. In addition, and state of federal inspections and approvals (such as UL, CE) are terminated.

I reinstalled the Zareba sp3b after taking it down for a few months and moved it to a new location. The light flashes like it is supposed to be working but there is nothing happening at the wire. The grounding system is functioning with three grounding rods spaced ten feet apart. What's wrong with the unit?

| Dear John, Thank you for submitting your online review! We are sorry to hear that your fence is not working properly. Often times, with some troubleshooting, we are able to get the fence up and working for you. With the solar chargers, after storing the charger, it is important to allow the battery to fully charge by setting the charger in the sunlight for three full days in the off position. Once that is done, the first step to ensure that everything is working properly would be to use a fence tester to test the voltage that you are getting across the live and ground terminals when no wires are attached. This will allow you to confirm if the charger, along with the Zareba® Circuit Board (model CBLIS3R) are working properly. We encourage you to contact our Consumer Relations Team at 1-855-5-ZAREBA (1-855-592-7322) for further assistance. We look forward to hearing from you! |

This reads like a continued issue with the SP3B unit purchased previously. The circuit board has a fuse in it but did not blow. The unit was not sealed very good around the parameter, moisture got on the circuit board, and shorted out without blowing the fuse. Is the LIS3 the correct board to use for the SP3B model? Please inform. "Thank you very much", The unit worked very good until this time so I don't know how to rate it now and reading about the previous issue noted.
