A few things you should know when repairing a charger:
Most chargers can hold a charge long after they have been unplugged or disconnected from the battery. You can be shocked by an unplugged charger. The consumer assumes all risk when repairing or utilizing a charger that has been “repaired” or modified. In addition, once the charger has been opened all warranties are null and void. In addition, and state of federal inspections and approvals (such as UL, CE) are terminated.

The contact ends don't fit on to the battery. I asked the staff at TSC who don't seem to know how your equipment works either. There's no instructions. You would sell more gear if your potential customers knew exactly how your stuff operates.

The trickle charger seems to have charged up the brand new solar battery. I had to manipulate the trickle charger contact ends to get them to fit onto the battery terminals because it seems the brand new battery terminals are now a different shape then the battery from a year ago. I also feel this solar trickel charger is over priced. It is the same charger you get with and cordless telephone that plugs into your electric wall outlets but, with different ends. This 3 miles solar hot wire charger box (as I call it) seems to give me problems from day one. The original one never worked. This second one worked for only about a year. The fence company that sold it to me ripped me off big time for it- charged me more than twice the selling price and they charged me hundreds to install it. That being said, I do not know if this battery trickel charger charged the battery well enough because ther may be an issue now with this solar box keeping the charge!
