A few things you should know when repairing a charger:
Most chargers can hold a charge long after they have been unplugged or disconnected from the battery. You can be shocked by an unplugged charger. The consumer assumes all risk when repairing or utilizing a charger that has been “repaired” or modified. Exact replacement control board for my 25 mile 115VAC fence charger. Works great and shipped quickly. Because I have experience working on electrical equipment it was a snap to install. If you’re new to this type work then you need to know how to safely discharge the big capacitor on the old board before you remove it. Also, be sure to mark the wires or take a photo to be sure it’s hooked up correctly.

Suspected lightening strike. Fencer was past warranty. Opened box, saw 'crispy capacitor' on the circuit board. Obtained the part number from the board. Found Zareba website and a replacement circuit board. Ordered it along with a lightening arrester unit. Installed the circuit board, tested fencer unit. Working once again! Unit was protecting sweet corn plots from raccoons and deer. I had purchased another fencer to cover against critters while waiting for replacement circuit board so the unit has not been returned to duty... next summer!!
After a lighting strike my charger stopped working. I removed the cover and saw the damage. Ordered the replacement board. Standard shipping was fast enough. No trouble to install, charger is back in service.
We purchased a circuit board replacement for our fence charger, which was struck by lightning. The circuit board arrived, damaged in shipment (box and board were damaged). I made a call to Zareba, and they immediately sent us a replacement. The customer service department is great, and they care about their customers. We know we can count on them for help. Fence is now working fine.
