I used these to install a single wire around my fenced back yard to ensure our large dog does not get the idea he can get up on the fence or possibly jump it. The insulators work well. They are easy to install and hold the wire away from the posts. Quite inexpensive too. They are bright yellow plastic. The fence would look much better if they were available in green or brown plastic. The nails that come with the insulators turned out to be made of iron and they rusted badly at the first rain. The nails should have been made of aluminum or zinc coated to prevent the rust issue. If I had it to do over again, I'd get some rust proof nails and toss out the ones that came with the insulators. I would even have taken the time to spray paint them a milder color.
