Fi-Shock® Plastic Gate Handle
When planning your electric fence, there are several things you should consider. Among them, placement of the gate and the type of gate handle you choose. Your electric fence gate, if possible, should be placed at corners instead of in the middle of the fence.
This durable Fi-Shock® Plastic Gate Handle is molded of tough, high quality plastic. It is designed with shockproof thickness for safe handling protection. In addition, the orange color of the gate handle makes it more visible too.
As a general rule of thumb for insulated plastic gate handles, your electric fence should have one plastic gate handle for every electrified wire.

Fi-Shock® Plastic Gate Handle - Specifications
A standard gate can be used without interfering with the electric fence by running an insulated cable underneath the ground to bring the current to the other side of the gate.
To prevent animals from rubbing or pushing through a standard gate, an electrified wire can be mounted on the gate itself. The use of a sturdy rubber gate handle is ideal for this purpose.
Expandable Gate Handles
Expandable gates are composed of a long spring and insulated gate handle. The electric fence gate handle is disconnected from the post and then the gate is opened by pulling the spring gate back with the gate handle.
Spring gates expand and keep the electric fence gate taut. It is electrified when closed and neutral when open. Expandable gate handles should be used with these spring gates. They should be molded from tough, high quality plastic with shockproof thickness for safe handling protection.
