How do we remove the battery in the 5 mile, 1 Joule solar unit?

The battery compartment is located on the bottom of the energizer. This can be removed and the battery taken out.

The on/off switch is located on the underside of the energizer. O is the off position, | is the on position.

How do you remove the battery from the 5 mile solar charger? I can get the back off the whole unit, but not able to see how the battery comes out to replace it. Where can I buy a new battery?

The battery compartment is on the bottom of the energizer above the on/off toggle switch. Replacement batteries can be purchased on our website as well as other local retailers. This energizer is not UL or CSA approved. For battery operated energizers, this type of rating is not typical.

Yes, the "Fence OK" light will pulse when the voltage is pulsing through the system.

In order to recharge the solar unit does the power switch need to be in the "on" position and does the ground wire need to be grounded, or does it just need to be placed in a sunny location?

To charge the unit, we recommend disconnecting the energizer from the fence and grounding wires. The unit should be placed in the sun, in the off position, for three full days.

Directions state battery needs to be attached. Pictures in brochure do not match our 5 mile product. How do we access the battery?

The battery is already attached, however, it can be accessed via a panel on the bottome of the charger.
