They are not quite as heavy as they use to be. I still had original splicer buckles from 20 years ago. But them seem to be pretty good. We'll find out more once our windy winter sets in.

A better mouse trap

They will loosen in the wind and will go uneven. There were galvanized buckles that were much better but I cannot find them if they are still available I would rather use them.

I love this item. Excellent for joining 2 cut pieces or poly tape electric fence repair. very easy to work with.
