While the Gallagher are sturdier and higher quality, at the price difference, even if I had to replace these often it would take a lot of replacements to equal the price of Gallagher. They are not excellent quality but they are sufficient quality. I did use the Gallagher drill attachment to install though as theirs is more fitted and has a hex shaped bit attachment side that prevents the attachment from spinning. When it spins it is not screwing the insulator in, so zebra, change that design or people, splurge on the ghallagher here. Used in Canada, handle weather and moving well. I did break 4/5 out of a couple hundred installed
Constantly breaking. This is cheap plastic. Keep multiple bags on hand because you will constantly be replacing them. I did a 10 acre run and I'm looking for a alternative manufacturer. Trust these 1 star reviews because they truly are junk.
I'm so sorry to hear about this Dan! Please keep in mind that these are backed by a one year replacement policy. Feel free to give us a call for additional assistance.

have use dover 500 of these and have had no problems at all. Use a screw drive as leverage to install them ne r broke a single one
In short, these are the worst insulators EVER, and should no longer be in production. A third of these snapped in my hand as I was sinking them into the posts. I was not using anything to apply leverage to them, either, just my hand. Of the ones that did not break upon installation, more than half had broken in the 3 months they've been on the posts. I do not have high tension wire, just temp. electric fence that should put little to no strain on these insulators. If you plan on using these...DON'T!

I bought these from Tractor Supply and have not been pleased at all. I broke four of them trying to install them in a wooden post. They seem to be very brittle, and will not tolerate any pressure at all.
We apologize for this experience and would like the opportunity to learn more. This insulator is designed to be used with with aluminum or high tensile steel wire (9-22 gauge), both regular and heavy duty poly wire, and poly rope up to 1/4" diameter.
