I purchased this model EDC15M-Z on line from Amazon a couple of weeks ago. I am powering it with a 12 Volt, 12 Ah, motorcycle battery. When I powered it up, the first thing I noted is the indicator light is not working. I’m only energizing ~200 feet of fence wire. I assumed even this small battery would only need recharging 1 or 2 times a year. However, after only a couple of days of operation the battery is rapidly fading. Is this battery inadequate or do I have a problem with this charger? Thank you for your help.

A 12V 12Ah battery is small for this charger. It may drain quickly depending on use. Try a higher Ah battery (at least 50Ah) and monitor performance. If the issue continues, the charger may be faulty.
