This is a nice system, an improvement over the older system. The hookups and spring system are easy to install and work well. This is easy to use as a gate. My system is simply to keep deer out of my garden and this does the job for me going in and out.

engineering of attachments should be re-thought.

plastic pin that keeps fencing attached to plastic insulating-post attachment should actually be metal. The plastic pin is bending as week 4 comes into sight. Causes worry that "pin" will fail and fence will snap towards handle side...broken gate.

I do not use these as perimeter gates, but in between pastures and on temporary fences for the horses. i put the first ones up 11 years ago and they are still working very well. On the pasture I do not want the dogs to go in to, I placed one low to the ground below the one for the horses. The dogs respect it!
