Only our solar powered energizers are designed to remain outside in all weather, so that they keep charging by the sun. They are mounted to a pole with screws.

I have a ESP2M-Z unit and need to know if I can charge the 4 volt battery with my 6 volt Battery Tender

We recommend to charge the battery with a 4 volt trickle charger for 18-24 hours. Alternatively, the battery can be inserted into the energizer and placed in the sun for 3 full sunny days with the unit in the off position.

When installing an electric fence system, we always recommend installing three ground rods, six-eight feet deep and 10 feet apart. The first ground rod should be within 20 feet of the energizer.

When I’m done using solar fencer for the garden season, how do I store it? Do I let the battery die down until next season or keep it in the sun over the winter?
