We recommend using a T15 screwdriver to remove the back of this charger to access the battery.

What should the voltage and amperage be when this unit is set to winter?

This solar unit can run day and night for up to two weeks with no sun. It features a summer/winter switch, and we recommend setting it to “winter” during the colder months. This setting allows the energizer to conserve energy due to shorter days and less sunlight collected by the solar panel. You may notice a slight reduction in voltage because of this; however, it is not enough to interfere with keeping animals contained.
