How long g does the battery stay charged? And how many years approximately does a battery last? We have a Zareba ESP5M-Z fencer. Does it also charge during cloudy or snowy weather??

Battery Lifespan: The battery generally lasts 3-5 years, depending on its type and usage. Over time, its charge capacity may decrease and require replacement.
Weather Impact:
Cloudy weather: Solar panels still charge in cloudy conditions, but at a reduced rate.
Snowy weather: Snow can block the solar panel, limiting charging. Once the snow melts, the panel will resume charging.

Unfortunately, the 5 mile replacement battery does not come with a manual or specific installation instructions. Battery comes assembled at the time of purchase. But here are the general instructions:
-Remove the 4 screws on the back of the energizer unit. The battery is located inside.
-You will likely need a T15 bit/screwdriver, as most units are secured with T15 screws. Some models, however, may have Phillips head screws instead.
