Does American Farm Works 8-Light Electric Fence Voltage Tester need a battery or is battery pre-installed? When I follow the instructions on the website or that came with the product, it does not work. I know I have 1000 volts on the fence as the meter I used would read 1000 volts max but I wanted to read the total output and bought this meter from Tractor Supply. Thanks.

Is there a battery in the RSVT8 volt tester that should be replaced after several years of use?

Thank you for contacting us. We’re glad to know that you chose our products. Regarding your question, the tester does not use replaceable batteries. If you notice that it is no longer providing the proper voltage, we recommend replacing the unit.
