Does this work if the voltage exceeds 5500V?
Question by: Jean B on Mar 3, 2023, 12:38 PM
If the voltage of the energizer is higher than 5,500 volts, then all of the lights will light up on the tester, showing that the voltage is a minimum of 5,550 volts. If you are looking for a tester that reads higher levels, we recommend our 8 light tester or digital tester.

The description of THIS model does not specify testing of chargers. so... can it be used to test my charge unit?
Question by: Melissa on Jan 17, 2026, 12:44 PM
This model of the Zareba® Multi-Light Electric Fence Tester is designed to check voltage on the fence line, not to test electric fence chargers directly. Because the product description does not list charger testing, it hasn’t been verified for that purpose, so we can’t recommend using it to test your charger itself.
