For the Fi-Shock® 6 ft Galvanized Ground Rod, it should be driven as deep into the ground as possible—ideally the full 6 feet.
Proper grounding is critical for electric fence performance. The rod needs good contact with moist soil to work effectively, and deeper placement helps achieve that.
