Will this device reduce the output voltage from the charger to the fence

There may be a slight reduction in voltage. We recommend testing the fence after installation to ensure it still meets your needs.

We are wondering if our Storm Guard is functioning correctly. When we test our Zareba 100 Mile Low Impedance AC fence charger (EAC100M-Z) it tests at 11.0 kv on our Zareba Digital Electric Fence Tester WITHOUT the Storm Guard. When the Storm Guard is installed, the tester says 0.98 kv. Is our Storm Guard functioning correctly????

Thank you for your question regarding your Storm Guard and fence charger.

We recommend performing a no-load test on your charger using a fence tester to verify its output independently.

For the Storm Guard itself, they rarely go bad. You can test it with an OHM meter: a reading of 1500 OHMs is considered good, while a reading higher than 1500 OHMs indicates that the unit is bad and you should replace it.
