A few things you should know when repairing a charger - Most chargers can hold a charge long after they have been unplugged or disconnected from the battery. You can be shocked by an unplugged charger. The consumer assumes all risk when repairing or utilizing a charger that has been “repaired” or modified. In addition, once the charger has been opened all warranties are null and void and state of federal inspections and approvals (such as UL, CE) are terminated.

I have owned 3 Zareba fencers and all have died. My latest one the board fried and no replacement available. After 1 1/2 hours waining to speak to someone I hung up. The factory did a replacement on one of the units I sent to them and it lasted 8 months at almost $100 repair. Worst company I have ever dealt with and T will buy nothing else from them

New circuit board easy to install equals new charger.
After a Lightning surge took out my unit we had been using for several years. Opened it up, put the new board in and Shazam it sprang back to life! Highly satisfied with my purchase saved a good bit of money not having to buy a whole new unit.
I have a much older 2 joule unit. The PCB did not fit this older, larger unit, but after cutting away some of the internal plastic of the box, I was able to fit it in and make the wires reach. It's working perfectly.
A quick swap out, you will need to relocate the capacitor to the new board. Be sure to short across the terminals with an insulated screwdriver to keep from getting shocked.
